How PneuScrew Works
The PneuScrew® fastener is a patent pending Hybrid® screw that is pneumatically driven with a framing nailer. PneuScrew fasteners combine the ease and speed of collated nails with the quality, adjustability and holding power of screws.
PneuScrew pneumatic fasteners are ready to go, right out of the box. And they’re built for superior performance, whatever the application. A specially designed ballistic point penetrates even hard substrates without splitting them. Buttress threads ensure PneuScrews penetrate quickly and bite solidly. Debris-trapping threads near the screw head keeps work surfaces clean.

Installation Tips
Here are some tips to help you get the most out of these time-saving fasteners.
Drive them in:
- Always wear protective gear, including eye protection!
- Use sequential fire setting to prevent the tool from double firing.
- Depth-of-drive adjustments work well to set the countersink depth.
- Use a no-mar tip (flush-nose cone) when installing on softer decking materials.
- Use a dedicated air compressor with 100-120 lbs of consistent pressure at the tool. Adjust the compressor’s kick-on controls to stay within a 10-lb range. You can reduce pressure as needed.
- Use a 3/8" diameter hose, as short as possible. 25' will work best. 50' is the maximum for consistent driving.
- Drive PneuScrews perpendicular to the surface.
- Do some test runs with scrap material prior to starting the installation.
Screw them out:
- A low RPM impact driver or drill works best—very strong and slow.
- Start reversing the screw slowly to avoid stripping the wood fibers. Speed up after about 3 revolutions.
- PneuScrews can also be re-driven with an impact driver or drill.
